Cory Booker will be hosting a pair of meetings designed to shore up support in the Jewish community in the wake of his controversial decision to support the president’s Iran deal. Booker laid out the reasons for that support here on PolitickerNJ and this site has been chronicling the intense reaction ever since. The Observer piece provides details of some of the participants, including their reasons for attending, and also notes that Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, a close friend of Booker, was not invited to the meeting, possibly because of his sharp criticism of Booker’s support for the Iran deal.
