Notable from the Princeton Architectural Press table was the forthcoming Kaufmann Mercantile Guide: How to Split Wood, Shuck an Oyster, and Master Other Simple Pleasures, edited by Alexandra Redgrave and Jessica Hundley. The book features how-tos for things “we ought to know how to do, as well as what we’d like to,” and is derived from Kaufmann Mercantile, the blog-turned-ecommerce brand committed to quality craftsmanship and ethical manufacturing.

You can read an excerpt of Redgrave and Hundley’s introduction to the book here, and check out Kaufmann Mercantile CEO Sebastian Kaufmann’s Short List picks from earlier this year.
