The Asbury Park Press this weekend issued a split ticket endorsement in the heavily Republican 30th Legislative District.
The paper backs incumbent Assemblyman Dave Rible and Democratic challenger Jim “Sit Down and Shut Up” Keady.
“Rible is an experienced legislator whose priorities — helping complete Christie’s fiscal reforms and improving the climate for small businesses — are goals shared by us and by Keady,” the editorial says.
“Given Keady’s activist independent streak and Rible’s consistent pursuit of Republican initiatives to bring New Jersey’s finances under control, and their shared belief that tax incentives for small businesses could help kick-start the sluggish economy, we believe they are the best candidates to serve residents of the 30th District.”
The editorial leaves Rible’s running mate, Assemblyman Sean Kean (R-30), whom it calls likely “overextended,” out in the cold.
