Yesterday Women’s Wear Daily and Variety teamed up to host a star-studded soiree, celebrating creative forces in fashion, beauty and style. The inaugural event embraced the increasing overlap of Hollywood starlets and fashion folks, including hair and makeup experts who usually aren’t commended for contouring and lauded for lobbing.

In the beauty realm, celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin was honored. Ms. Atkin is best known for keeping up with the ever-evolving Kardashian cuts, but she’s also a social media star in her own right, with 900,000 followers on Instagram. Make-up artist and beauty guru to the stars Lisa Eldridge, whose tutorials can also be found on YouTube, was also an honoree.

For fashion, honorees were costume designer Lyn Paolo, who brings Olivia Pope‘s white wardrobe to life, actress Freida Pinto, designer Zac Posen, photographer Matthew Rolston and stylist Elizabeth Stewart.

Presenters included How to Get Away with Murder‘sViola Davis, Zac Posen BFF Katie Holmes, Shondaland favorite Kerry Washington and Ms. Atkin’s muse, Kourtney Kardashian. Other celebs spotted were Cara Santa, Olivia Holt and Dita Von Teese. It looks like the perfect A-list lunch break.
