Samuel Monsour has been a friend of mine since our days at Culinary Institute of America, and his whimsical approach to cuisine has always motivated me in my professional career. His relaxed, yet unwavering approach to creative cuisine speaks to cooks of all levels, as witnessed in his cookbook, “American Burger Revival: Brazen Recipes to Electrify a Timeless Classic” released earlier this year. He comes up with combinations of ingredients that I never would’ve imagined, and continues to serve as an inspiration to both professional and novice chefs.
