If you love intimate dining, meeting the chef and top notch sushi, Kosaka should be your dinner destination this weekend. The new Japanese spot comes from sushi chef Yoshihiko Kousaka (formerly of popular spot Jewel Bako), who prides himself on the one-to-one personal relationship he has with his guests who sit opposite from him at the counter. At Kosaku, intimacy is everything. The space seats only 18, and ten of those seats are at the L-shaped sushi bar made from finely-crafted Walnut. This Greenwich Village restaurant will serve two Omakase options: one of sushi only $125 and the Chef’s Tasting for $155, which includes dishes from the hot kitchen. Of course, a wide variety of beer, wine and sake will flow. Kosaka is open for dinner only on Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30pm to 11pm.
