Experimental fashion brand Kit and Ace, makers of machine washable cashmere, is expanding; while ethical luxury brand Maiyet took their desire for sustainably-produced, environmentally-responsible cashmere to Mongolia, where they forged relationships with nomadic herders as part of their FAIR project; and the “reigning leader of the luxury knitwear market,” The Elder Statesman’s Greg Chait, spoke with us about his unconventional business model and some of the most unexpected, custom cashmere creations he has produced.
