“My favorite pair of diamonds are studs made by jeweler Karina Brez. I wear them every day. Her collection is at all the horse shows and has a strong following among the equestrian set. It’s hard not to want all of it!”

“My favorite diamonds are earrings that I made. I was given one-carat diamond studs at 23, and years later I added larger pears to dangle from them. I recently took the ovals from my eternity wedding band and designed a rose gold funky ring with the stones interspersed along my finger.”

“I heart black diamonds, because I can wear them everyday. My black diamond and 18k gold choker goes with everything. The sparkle is subtle, and only I know they are diamonds!”

“I had a pair of studs that an ex gave me that sat untouched in my jewelry box. Diamonds are a terrible thing to waste, so my mom had a pair of earrings made from the unused studs. Great way to repurpose a failed union!”

“My most precious diamond is the one that my husband gave me when we got engaged. We’ve been married for five years but I still look at my hand often and can’t believe how thoughtful he was when he designed the ring. I was also given a pair of diamond earrings from my grandmother when she passed. They are a pair of Art Deco rose cut diamond earrings that I wear only on special occasions. They are the most elegant piece of jewelry that I own and cherish.”

“I do wear diamonds, but not formal looking ones, and my favorite piece is a ring that has rose cut diamonds wrapping all around the ring set in gold, not-perfect looking bezels. It is part of a stack of four rings that my husband gave me when he proposed. The rose cut exposes the clarity of the diamonds so the tone of my skin shows through making them look pale pink. The combination of the pink with the gold is really nice and I love the way they contrast with the shinier diamonds in my other rings.”

“My favorite piece of diamond jewelry is the ring I inherited from my mom, it is a sparkly canary diamond that was originally owned by Helena Rubinstein. It has so much history and I am honored every time I wear it.”

“Yes, my diamond engagement ring. It was designed to mirror my grandmother’s ring so, for multiple reasons, it has special meaning.”

“My uncle, Alfred Durante, was the VP of design for Cartier for over 30 years. He designed the famous ‘Love’ bracelet, among many incredible things. I have yet to get my hands on one with or without the diamonds inlaid, but at the moment, the engagement ring that my fiancé and father designed together (as you can see jewelry runs in the family) is my favorite piece. The way it glitters just brightens my day no matter what mood I am in. It reminds me of a flower, so it’s fitting that we chose the Brooklyn Botanical Garden to tie the knot!”
