Today, Monmouth County Democrat Lorna Phillipson announced her candidacy for New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District, currently served by veteran Republican U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R-4).
A former bank trading executive, venture capitalist, adjunct professor, strategy consultant, and unsuccessful Assembly candidate, Phillipson says key strengths are strategic planning, financial policies and procedures, leadership development, international business and trade, workplace innovation, and corporate governance.
The Democrat attended Manasquan High School, Montclair State, and Wharton’s Aresty Institute.
(The Fourth Congressional District of New Jersey extends across New Jersey from the Delaware River to the Jersey Shore. It encompasses 44 municipalities. The current District includes parts of Mercer, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.)
