There’s no denying it; the forecast for the rest of NYFW calls for extremely chilly temps. Aside from getting unfashionably bundled up, another way to combat the frigid outlook is to dress for the weather you’d wish for, instead of the weather you’re experiencing.
Offering up a fantastic example of this is Valentino’s Hawaii Couture collection, which launches at Dover Street Market this morning, the Observer can exclusively reveal. Awash with happy Hawaiian prints, intricate paradise-inspired embroidery and even a colorful satin bomber jacket for men, this is a certain improvement over an all-black wardrobe.

After seeing Zoolander 2, it’s understandable why these Valentino designs from Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri will be highly sought after. Plus, it’s easy to see Derek Zoolander modeling (and actually wearing) these threads.
A section of Dover Street Market will be invaded with this tropical collection, which is also available at Valentino stores and The Webster in Miami. Presented in an installation exclusive to the store, the space promises to be just as refreshing as a piña colada, and just as intoxicating.
