Billed as a “members only” situation, M.A.C. Select is a way for shoppers to redeem benefits for their frequent purchases at M.A.C. stores.
There are three tiers to M.A.C. Select, each of which is ironically named: Seduced, Devoted and Obsessed. The first level, Seduced, requires no purchase at all, but customers simply need to sign up to receive exclusive access to limited-edition launches, an annual M.A.C. gift and free online samples. The introductory service also includes the Back-to-M.A.C. service and tracker, allowing customers to return six empty containers to any store or online to get a free lipstick, lipglass or eyeshadow under the price of $17.
Shoppers who drop $150 or more each year will reach the Devoted tier, which builds on Seduced by offering even more free samples, an express makeup application, complimentary two-day shipping and a chance to pre-shop select collections.
Finally, M.A.C. devotees who spend $500 or more annually are being deemed Obsessed by M.A.C. Again, these members will reap the same benefits as Devoted and Seduced, but will receive two express makeup apps instead of one, first access to new collections and an annual gift that is being described as “deluxe.”
