Just before the new year President Obama signed the “Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015,” which prohibits the manufacture and sale of products containing microplastics. This was a tremendous victory for clean beauty advocates, considering that those tiny pieces of plastic are actually polluting our lakes, rivers and oceans in big ways.
