New York designers fill us in on what they have planned for the Fall/Winter 2016 season. Consider this your cheat sheet to the runway and check back each morning of Fashion Week for an up-to-date preview…
Banana Republic: “Inspired by the tension of structured ease.”
Chloe Gosselin: “This season I wanted to provide an intimate look into the Chloe Gosselin woman – her strength, her confidence – all of which is sourced from within. The Chloe Gosselin woman wears her shoes to seduce no one but herself, even in her boudoir.”
Tome: “The subversive art of Mona Hatoum, Barbara Kruger, Annie Lennox and Vivienne Westwood are at the blood red beating heart of F16.”

Rachel Zoe: “Fall 2016 is a play on masculine tailoring and feminine silhouettes. With juxtaposition between androgyny and romance, there is a subtle and unexpected sexiness throughout.”
Jonathan Simkhai: “Fall ’16 is about finding equilibrium between angular edge and soft texture. Textiles play a key role in creating softness with linear layers of tensity-charged laces”
Jenny Packham: “The AW16 Collection is inspired by the energy of disco.”

Somsack Sikhounmuong, J. Crew Womenswear: “A little bit of this…..a little bit of that.”
Frank Muytjen, J. Crew Menswear: “We were inspired by different finds from our travels, such as vintage horse blankets and foulard scarves, which we then morphed into something unexpected and very J.Crew.”
Zac Posen, Brooks Brothers: “Celebrating femininity and American classics”

Ground Zero: “Our FW16 collection is very inspired by 90s pop culture, portraying a gang of edgy, strong-willed girls from our ‘hood’.”
