Social Download: Internet Reacts to Samantha Bee, ‘The Americans,’ and ‘Planet Snoop’

Truth.

Truth. Merry Jane

Welcome back to tvDownload’s social media column — written for the people and by the people, like some kind of millennials’ Pravda. It’s where you can come to find out what the internet is saying about your favorite shows, and to see what new stuff might be worth checking out. You do want to fit in with the rest of us, don’t you, comrade?

The Baskets season finale aired this week, and while show took a while to get going (wait, what is the tone of this thing?), it ultimately found a devoted audience.

Louie Anderson’s turn as Christine Baskets is especially beloved and the character has the fan art to prove it.

We’re now two episodes into the new season of The Americans and everyone is super, super mad at the daughter character, Paige.

Proof that you can never go wrong with “Tainted Love.”

This is our new motto, too.

Samantha Bee got folks fired up in this week’s episode of Full Frontal with a piece on the backlog of untested rape kits currently gathering dust on our nation’s shelves.

The people have spoken and they love this late night lady!

On a very different note… guess what? Snoop Dogg has finally done it, the thing we’ve all been waiting for! He’s launched a nature show! Well, kind of. The first episode of Planet Snoop, which is two minutes long and can be seen on YouTube, features Snoop watching a different nature show (Planet Earth, of course) and commenting on it. It is, unsurprisingly, awesome.
