The collection will debut during men’s fashion week in Paris, on June 22. In previous seasons, the brand debuted men’s collections through lookbooks, so this shift to a formal show setting may mark an increased focused on the menswear business at the storied Balenciaga maison.

If Mr. Gvasalia’s first womenswear collection at Balenciaga this past March was any indication, the forthcoming men’s show will be a shock to the fashion senses. The front row glitterati was particularly enthralled with his interpretation of the brand’s historic codes, especially in terms of dramatically sculptural blazers and off-the-shoulder puffers paired with glittering tops.
