Anthony Fanucci, a former member of the Vineland School Board and current City Council President, announced today his intention to seek the office of Mayor of the City of Vineland.
“After more than three years of working with my Council counterparts to make positive changes in Vineland, I know that we can do better,” Fanucci said. “I believe that it is time to bring harmony and cooperation back to city hall, while holding all employees and appointees to the highest standards. We have spent too much of our time and efforts on unnecessary disagreements with the current administration instead of working for productive progress.”
The candidate said he intends to run with current council members Paul Spinelli and Angela Calakos, along with Ron Franceschini, David Acosta, and Albert Vargas.
“With their practical experience in business, education, health, and law enforcement, I firmly believe that they will be outstanding members of City Council,” Fanucci said. “I am honored that they would join me in this effort.”
A campaign kick-off rally is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the North Italy Hall.
