The cherry blossoms are popping up on the tree-lined streets of Greenwich Village, and now there’s a new supermodel addition for the already picturesque sidewalks.
German model Toni Garrn is putting down roots in the city, and she has opted for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo at the Greenwich Lane, joining the likes of fashion designer Michael Kors and actor Michael C. Hall in the chic new development.
Ms. Garrn shot her first Calvin Klein ad at the age of 15, and has modeled for Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Prada and Versace, amongst other designers. She started modeling for Victoria’s Secret in 2011, and has walked in a number of the shows, as well as working with photographers including Steven Meisel, Corrine Day, and Mario Testino. Oh, and she’s also Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend, a title given only to a select few blonde supermodels.
Her new 944-square-foot abode, listed by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, overlooks the private garden at 160 West 12th Street, amongst other features like high ceilings, red oak hardwood floors, a painted steel entry door, and a kitchen with pale white marble countertops. She previously shared an apartment in the Financial District with fellow model Ali Stephens, but perhaps she felt it was time to make some solo moves.
Like any model-worthy home, her new $2.49 million abode has a huge walk-in closet in the master suite, and the master bath has custom marble mosaic floors and an under-mounted soaking tub, with a marble surround, glass-enclosed shower. We must say, it looks like a lovely place to relax post-photoshoot.
Of course, along with joining the ranks of the countless models and actresses dotting the streets of Greenwich Village, she might want to prepare for potential run-ins with her ex: Mr. DiCaprio owns an apartment at Delos Living, an eco-friendly building just a few short blocks away.
