Dee Dee of Dum Dum Girls has gone solo, and we can’t even control our excitement. “Show Me” is a booming 80s influenced guitar-heavy track that sounds like it could be the theme to a John Waters movie. With a solo album coming May 26, we can’t wait to see where Dee Dee’s new persona takes her.

Chloe x Halle

Beyoncé has found new protégé in the form of Chloe and Halle Bailey. The two teen sisters have hauntingly gorgeous vocals that boom over simple pop production in “Drop.” Plus the duo definitely has a knack for rapping. They sound wise beyond their years, and with Queen Bey behind them, they’re sure to be around for a while.

Adult Jazz

For fans of Dirty Projectors and alt-J, Adult Jazz is a godsend. “Eggshell” is a progressive, avantgarde indie-rock track that mixes vocal effects with samples to create something really futuristic. The band has an upcoming mini-album that is sure to be full of the weird and the wonderful.

The Julie Ruin

Kathleen Hanna’s band The Julie Ruin is back with a new empowering, rebellious track, which is from the band’s forthcoming sophomore record. For the video, the band took footage of Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield from SXSW. So many people we love are involved with this project, and we can’t wait for its return.

Handsome Ghost

Since Handsome Ghost’s debut EP, Tim Noyes has run the gamut of touring, writing and traveling the world. This synthpop track is sweet like candy, hooky and filled with lush melodies. If this is any indication of what Handsome Ghost’s debut album will look like, we’re into it.
