7 Delicious Cinco de Mayo Cocktails Everyone Can Make at Home

If you prefer to stay in this Cinco de Mayo, there are still ways to celebrate.

We’ve already brought you a list of twists on the classic margarita, which featured gems like a blood orange-jalapeño margarita and another flavored with grapefruit and raspberry. Now today, we’re offering more tequila-based drinks that are delicious and deceivingly easy to whip up on your own.

Here are seven tequila drinks for celebrating May 5:

Blueberry Basil Margarita

2 oz. Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Agave nectar
12 to 15 Blueberries
1 Lime squeezed
Garnish with basil sprig 

Muddle blueberries and basil with Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila, add remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Serve over fresh ice (do not strain), and garnish with basil. Add dash of filtered water for more liquid.

Spiked Lemonade

1.5 oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
3 oz. Lemonade
Garnish with lemon wheel

Coconut Smash

2 oz. 1800 Coconut
.25 oz. Honey
3 slices papaya
1/4 Lime juice
Garnish with basil sprig

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into highball glass. Garnish with basil sprig.

Mula de Mexico

2 oz. 1800 Silver
1 oz. Ginger beer
½ oz. Cane sugar
¾ oz. Lime juice
1 tsp chipotle peppers**
Pinch of cilantro

Shake all ingredients (except ginger beer) with ice and double strain into an iced Collins glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with cilantro.
**Substitution: chipotle powder

2 oz. Santera Blanco tequila
1/2 oz. Aperol
1 oz. Pineapple juice
1/2 oz. Lime juice
1/2 oz. Simple syrup
5 Mint leaves
Jalapeño slice
Garnish with a pineapple wedge

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain over crushed ice in a high ball glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge.

1.5 oz. Patrón Silver infused with mint tea*
1/2 oz. Patrón Citrónge Mango
1/2 oz. Lime juice
1/2 oz. Star fruit puree or muddled star fruit
Garnish with star fruit and a lime wedge

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain over ice into a salt-rimmed Collins glass. Garnish with a slice of star fruit and a lime wheel.

* Patrón Silver Infused with Mint Tea: Steep 4 mint tea bags per 12 oz of Patrón Silver for 30 minutes. Remove teabags.

.75 oz. Ancho Reyes Chili liquor
.75 oz. Lime juice
.5 oz. Agave
Garnish with red thai chili and lime wedge
