It’s hard to know what to say about the MJT (as it’s known casually). I guess it’s a little nexus of wonderment on an otherwise fairly banal strip of Venice Blvd in West L.A. The MJT is a museum, an artwork, a museum of museum-ism plus more all bound up into one little storefront. Having frequented it since I was in high school, walking off the noisy, bright boulevard and into the self-consciously hushed, dim interior remains one of my favorite Los Angeles things.
