Have you been itching to go glamping this summer, but feel unable to give up the city, even for a weekend? Now, the W New York has solved all of your problems with the launch of their “Extreme Wow Outdoor Glamping Suite.” The space was created by virtual designers at Laurel & Wolf and boasts a yurt, skyline views and the chance to camp out without ever leaving the comfort of the city. At 541 Lexington, venture onto the roof and fall asleep in a 12 foot yurt, and pretend you actually went camping.

The glamping site features the yurt, of course, and plenty of nods to camping–which sounds far superior to actually roughing it. There are lanterns and a fire pit that lights up with a switch, so don’t expect to roast marshmallows. Located on the 17th floor, yurt users will overlook the city and the skyline. The glamping suite is available from July 13 through November. But, you might want to book beforehand, as November weather is always a bit untrustworthy in New York. There will be different packages offered for families who secretly hate the great outdoors and don’t want to argue about how to pitch a tent, couples honeymooning and girls’ night out. The rates for the glamp grounds start at $2,000 per night, so if that sounds excessive you’ll have to consider pitching a tent in Central Park, instead–or heading to a different glamping destination entirely.
