CLEVELAND – Moments before PolitickerNJ planned to meet with Congressman Tom MacArthur (R-3) in the depths of the Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday, a different meeting happened by chance.
MacArthur, a first term congressman who has served for a year and a half, saw Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and took the opportunity to introduce himself to the president pro tempore of the United States Senate. It was the first time MacArthur had met Hatch.
