Here Are Five Potential Friends for Prince George

It's time for Prince George to spend time with fellow celebrity children

Prince George is world-renowned for his high socks, tiny temper tantrums and extremely polite behavior. But while the world knows what he wears and how he behaves, he’s never been spotted with playmates. Of course, he’s been photographed in the constant presence of his family and their dog, Lupo, but it’s high time for Prince George to branch out. The Observer would like to suggest the following five people as friends for this royal tyke.

The Swedish Royal Family

While the Swedish royal family might present competition for the British royals, they could also be the ultimate playmates. Four-year-old Princess Estelle could be pals with three year old Prince George, while Prince Oscar Olaf (no relation to the Frozen snowman, unfortunately) could spend time with his sister, practicing the art of sipping tea. Like Prince George, Princess Estelle also favors high socks and jumpers and already has a devoted following on Instagram. The two would be social media sensations.

American and British royalty are destined to eventually join forces, and it should be through the friendship of two small celebrities. Of course, Kanye West would be incredibly jealous that his progeny, North West, wasn’t the next royal companion, but Blue Ivy has already proven she’s more than comfortable on the red carpet in a tiara and tutu. And she’d be comfortable spending time with Queen Elizabeth, as she already knows what it’s like to spend time with a true royal.

Ed Sheeran

Prince George might have Prince Harry to offer guidance, but being a royal can be busy and Prince Harry has an active social life, especially now that he’s rumored to be dating an Onassis. Now, he can have someone to learn guitar from, so he can eventually impress all of the ladies on campus by serenading them with “Wonderwall” while wearing Birkenstocks and a tie-dye t-shirt. Plus, by befriending Sheeran, Prince George could eventually become a member of Taylor Swift’s squad, as there isn’t a baby yet. Hopefully, it’s not too confusing for Prince George, as Sheeran and his Uncle Harry have been confused in the past.

Suri Cruise

Suri Cruise has been out of the spotlight for a few years, but who can forget the fashion blogs devoted to documenting her ever-changing looks? She was the first true kid blogger, and if she was a little older she would certainly be debuting #OOTDs on Instagram. It’s time for her to make her triumphant return, and who better to make it with than the baby Brit? He just needs to be on his best behavior to guarantee he doesn’t make it into her Burn Book. Celebrity kids Apple Martin, Penelope Disick and Brooklyn Beckham have all been mentioned on the blog–and they’d all be ideal friends, especially if Prince George grows up and decides to court the tabloids. At 10, Cruise might be a bit old, but she can still teach him all about street style…maybe Princess Charlotte will soon be wearing kitten heels and ladylike purses.

Justin Trudeau

The handsome Canadian is about to meet Prince George for the first time, and the two should most definitely team up, at least for a viral video where everyone can hear Prince George speak. After meeting President Obama in his bathrobe, he’ll have to one-up the look when he meets the Prime Minister. Maybe he can wear footie pajamas or a small night cap. But if it’s not past his bedtime, he could try something entirely unexpected, like a tiny tuxedo or, if he ventured in the other direction, an all denim ensemble. A Canadian tuxedo would be the perfect introduction of brand new lifelong friends.
