On Thursday, August 25, 205 delegates representing 152 lodges and 14,000 members of the New Jersey.
Fraternal Order of Police re-elected its President Robert W. Fox and all members of its Executive Board by a landslide. The vote taken at The New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police 34th Biennial Convention held at the Hyatt Resort in Cambridge, MD is an affirmation of solidarity for the stance that President Fox has taken in support of the pension Constitutional amendment question.
Re-elected members of the Executive Board are Executive Vice President Robert Gries, Vice President James Stewart, Recording Secretary James Ford, Sergeant at Arms Kenneth Hawkins, Corresponding Secretary Wayne Winkler, Chaplain Kevin Karcher Jr. and Treasurer George Kline.
Convention delegates, in its first order of business, made a floor motion to unanimously support President Fox’s position on posting the Constitutional amendment to fully fund the pension system that was blocked by Senate President Stephen Sweeney. President Fox was re-elected by over 80 percent of the vote in this contested election which demonstrates the level of support for Fox and his administration.
