Remember playing Candy Land as a little kid and hoping that one day it would be real? You could wander through the Gumdrop Mountains and through the Peppermint Forest into the Ice Cream Sea. Candy Land is basically happening at Black Tap thanks to their latest collaboration with IT’SUGAR to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, and there’s no Lord Licorice in sight.
The shake will be served for only two days at Black Tap in New York (August 12–13), making it even more exclusive than the Little Cupcake Bakeshop partnership. Then, it will make its way to the West Coast (like many New Yorkers dream of doing in the dead of winter), for the first-ever Santa Monica pop-up shop. The XL Gummy Shake featured a jumbo gummy bear on a stick (try not to vomit from that alone, as gummy bears can be dangerous), a rainbow marshmallow pop and a sprinkling of marshmallow pieces on top for peak social media opportunities. The treat is topped with a jawbreaker rim and a cherry on top.
Start waiting in line in Soho right now, as it usually takes about two hours for regular folks to make it inside the promised land of burgers, fries and ostentatious milkshakes made for Instagram. There is a secret, private room downstairs reserved for VIP parties, so you could always rent out that space and treat your closest friends and family to a board game in real life. And, if you’re counting your calories, there are always Black Tap leggings. But working out in milkshakes, or playing Candy Land, is definitely not as delicious as consuming them.
