Spoilers: Pablo Escobar is going to die at the end of Narcos. That happened, for realskies. But as you can see from the latest trailer above, the true question is not IF the notorious drug dealer bites it, but WHO pulls the trigger?
There’s options: The DEA and the Search Bloc, for one, who at this point had been hunting Escobar for years. Escobar’s rivals, the Cali Cartel, which were also hunting Escobar for years but blowing up way more random civilian households in the process. Plus, Los Pepes, an underground squad of vigilantes comprised solely of Pablo Escobar’s enemies, which is one of the most comic book things to ever happen in real life. These dudes were basically Colombia’s Suicide Squad. Zack Snyder creates characters like Los Pepes in the scripts he throws out for being too unrealistic.
Like Boyd Holbrook’s Steve Murphy says in voice-over: “This wasn’t just a manhunt. This was a war.”
