A Tiny Target Is Opening in Tribeca, Offering Yoga and Manicures

Expect plenty of pop-ups and a Chobani Café

LOS ANGELES, CA - AUGUST 20: Bullseye attends the 5th Annual NYX FACE Awards on August 20, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.
Perhaps the mascot will attend the opening.

Target is opening a small store in Tribeca this month and to celebrate the trendy locale, they’re offering plenty of pop-ups to appeal to the neighborhood. Perhaps you’ve eschewed Target since you moved to the city (other than their designer collaborations, of course). After all, as a true New Yorker you can always have Fresh Direct deliver canned goods too heavy to tote, Bed Bath and Beyond can provide odds and ends, and the local bodega peddles your everyday needs, including ice cream…but wouldn’t it be nice to purchase everything in one place sometimes? Especially if that place is in Tribeca.

You can head to your favorite boutique fitness class (in Tribeca, the options are endless), check out at Whole Foods, then stop by Target. Or, you can get your fitness on in Target. They’re celebrating their October 5 opening with complimentary defy & INSPIRE mini-manicures courtesy of Nail It Up, free yoga classes in the nearby park, and snacks from Chobani Café. The Chobani appearance isn’t just for the opening–there will be a permanent cafe inside of Target, similar to the Soho location. And, to make it a truly trendy event worthy of Tribeca, there will be live music from a DJ.

According to Fortune, the tiny Target will have more lunch pick-up options for nearby office workers, organic food and lots of clothing options. The home goods will be adjusted accordingly, and will be smaller to fit into smaller Manhattan apartments. The pop-up begins on September 30. Get there early, before Trader Joe’s-worthy lines make their way to Target.
