How many of you love making mountains, valleys, and rivers out of sand? But what if you could augment your sandbox with colors to make virtual water flow, simulate rain, and overall just bump up that sandbox with a little 21st century spice? We used this augmented reality project from UC Davis at my daughter’s school to do just that and help our teachers teach geology to kids. Even if you don’t build it for your kids, school, or self, check out the video:
