Give Your Kid’s Sandbox A 21st Century Upgrade With Augmented Reality

One of the coolest DIY projects I have done this year was building a sandbox. Yep, a sandbox.

How many of you love making mountains, valleys, and rivers out of sand? But what if you could augment your sandbox with colors to make virtual water flow, simulate rain, and overall just bump up that sandbox with a little 21st century spice? We used this augmented reality project from UC Davis at my daughter’s school to do just that and help our teachers teach geology to kids.
