I’m in love with the jewels and the shoes of french designer Anne Thomas. She mixes materials in a quite unusual way, like brass and velvet. Living in Lyon, and all her jewels are entirely manufactured in France by craftsmen. Her work is delicate and subtle, never obvious, like a Joni Mitchell song.
I love to create projects with people from other art[istic] backgrounds, even if it’s difficult to find the common field, and Anne understands how music and jewels can reverberate. For our “Older” tour, I asked her to design a capsule collection inspired from the owl on the album’s cover. I wear these jewels on stage now, and sell a few pieces with our merch.
