The position was posted on Kensington Palace’s job page, so it’s definitely real (be wary of Craigslist postings looking for butlers, as it could become a Broad City situation).

The new butler will work 45 hours per week, Monday through Sunday, so, unfortunately, you won’t be working on the day of the royal wedding. But this is a live-in position, so you might be on hand for the celebration (or maybe even in a nearby carriage). The listing promises the trainee butler will become “an all-round hospitality expert,” so prepare to be the next lifestyle blogger, à la a pre-royal Meghan Markle.

The butler will “take care of guests from welcome to goodbye” and assist at official lunches and state banquets. The role promises development so you can stay with the royal family forever.

The posting wants applicants who are approachable and can “communicate with all kinds of people,” including young, eligible royals. As long as you’re “keen to learn new skills,” send in your application today, since the vacancy is closing on Saturday.

There’s also an unnamed Saudi royal family searching for a female head of household/butler in Beverly Hills for those who would rather stay stateside.

“All professional buttling and service experience are required for this position,” the post reads. “Royal family are seeking two FEMALE BUTLERS ONLY (due to cultural reasons and working with the lady of the house who can not work with men).”

So, ladies, get those buttling resumes ready.

Being a butler for the royal family would give you the chance to perfect your tea pouring skills, both literally and figuratively. After figuring out how Queen Elizabeth likes her tea, you could spill yours on the royal family with a scathing tell-all.
