Ellie Honan is current co-president of the UK Polar Network. Ellie is a marine ornithologist working on her PhD on the movement and diet of snow petrels, enigmatic Antarctic seabirds. She has a BSc in Geology and a MSc in Palaeobiology. Now, she's more focused on modern polar ecosystems, with field experience at both poles and a passion for ensuring polar fieldwork is both sustainable and equitable.
