Founded in 1957 by Leo Castelli, Castelli Gallery became a pivotal force in the Post-War art scene, championing movements like Pop Art, Minimalism, and Conceptual Art. Since 1999, under Barbara Bertozzi Castelli’s leadership, the gallery has continued to promote renowned artists such as Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, and Keith Sonnier from its Upper East Side and Bryant Park locations.
