Aurora James
Aurora James is a Canadian fashion designer and activist, best known for her sustainable fashion brand, Brother Vellies. James uses traditional African craftsmanship and materials to create shoes and accessories, and her designs have been worn by celebrities such as Beyoncé and Zendaya. James is also a prominent voice in the fight for social justice and has launched initiatives such as the 15 Percent Pledge, which calls on major retailers to dedicate 15 percent of their shelf space to Black-owned businesses. She was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in 2020.
