Bosco Sodi
Bosco Sodi, born in Mexico City, Mexico in 1970, is a Mexican contemporary artist known for his textured, monochromatic paintings and large-scale sculptures that explore the relationship between nature, time and human creativity. He studied at the University of Anáhuac in Mexico City and began his artistic career in earnest in the early 2000s. Sodi's work is characterized by its use of raw materials such as volcanic rock, clay and sawdust, which he combines with pigments to create richly textured surfaces. Notable works include his "Muro" project, a temporary wall constructed from clay bricks in Washington Square Park, and exhibitions at the Axel Vervoordt Gallery and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Sodi's art has been featured in prominent collections and exhibitions worldwide, including the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Read more about Arts.
