Charlie Rangel
Charlie Rangel is an American politician who served as a U.S. Representative for New York's 13th congressional district from 1971 to 2017. Born on June 11, 1930, he is a member of the Democratic Party. Rangel was a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus and played a significant role in shaping tax policy, healthcare, and urban development. He served as the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee from 2007 to 2010. Known for his advocacy on social justice issues, Rangel retired as one of the longest-serving members of Congress.
