Christine Quinn
Christine Quinn is an American politician and advocate who served as the Speaker of the New York City Council from 2006 to 2013, making her the first woman and first openly gay person to hold the position. Born on July 25, 1966, she is a member of the Democratic Party. Quinn was known for her work on affordable housing, tenant rights, and health services. She ran for mayor of New York City in 2013 but was not elected. Since then, she has remained active in various advocacy roles and nonprofit organizations.
