Dean Skelos

Dean Skelos is an American politician who served as a New York State Senator from 1985 to 2015, representing parts of Long Island. Born on February 16, 1948, he is a member of the Republican Party. Skelos held the position of Majority Leader and Temporary President of the New York State Senate. His political career ended after his conviction on federal corruption charges in 2015, which involved bribery and extortion schemes to benefit his son.
