Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 25th congressional district since 2017. Born on September 27, 1966, in New York City, she is a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to representing Florida's 25th district, Wasserman Schultz served as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 20th district from 2005 to 2017. Wasserman Schultz is known for her advocacy on issues such as healthcare, education, and women’s rights. She served as Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) from 2011 to 2016, where she was instrumental in organizing the party's campaigns and conventions. Her tenure at the DNC was marked by efforts to promote party unity and support for Democratic candidates. She is also recognized for her work in support of veterans and active military personnel, as well as her role in advancing legislation related to financial aid for education and the Affordable Care Act.
