Domenic Recchia Jr. is an American politician and former member of the New York City Council. Born on November 30, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York, Recchia is a member of the Democratic Party. He served as the City Councilman for Brooklyn's 47th district from 2002 to 2013. During his time in office, Recchia focused on issues such as education, housing, and community development. After leaving the City Council, he ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014 but was defeated. Recchia has continued to be involved in various community and political activities.
