Eliot Spitzer
Eliot Spitzer is an American politician and attorney who served as the 54th Governor of New York from January 2007 until his resignation in March 2008. Born on June 10, 1959, he is a member of the Democratic Party. Before his governorship, Spitzer served as the New York State Attorney General from 1999 to 2006, where he gained recognition for his aggressive pursuit of corporate crime and corruption. His tenure as governor ended abruptly due to a scandal involving his patronage of a prostitution ring.
