Harvey Weinstein, born in 1952, is the disgraced former film producer who co-founded Miramax Films and The Weinstein Company. Once a powerful figure in Hollywood, Weinstein’s career came to an abrupt end following numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. Weinstein was subsequently fired from The Weinstein Company and expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences before facing criminal charges. In February 2020, he was found guilty of criminal sexual assault in the first degree and rape in the third degree in a New York court. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
