Henry Chalfant

Henry Chalfant is an American photographer and videographer renowned for his documentation of graffiti and street art. Born in 1940 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Chalfant became a pivotal figure in the New York City subway graffiti scene during the late 1970s and early 1980s. His work, notably through the book "Subway Art" (co-authored with Martha Cooper in 1984), has been instrumental in promoting the graffiti movement globally.
