J. Paul Getty
J. Paul Getty was an American industrialist and philanthropist, best known for his work in the oil industry and for founding the Getty Oil Company. Getty was one of the richest men in the world during his lifetime, and his collection of art and antiquities became the basis for the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. In addition to his business success, Getty was also known for his philanthropy, donating large sums of money to various causes, including the arts and education.
