John Marin
John Marin (1870–1953) was an early American modernist artist renowned for his abstract landscapes and watercolors. Born in Rutherford, New Jersey, Marin's innovative approach to painting captured the rhythm and chaos of the modern world. He is particularly noted for his depictions of New York City's skyscrapers and the rugged coastlines of Maine.
