Julian Assange

Julian Assange (born 1971) is an Australian publisher, journalist, and the founder of WikiLeaks, an organization that became internationally famous in 2010 for its publication of classified and sensitive documents. Born in Townsville, Queensland, Assange's early work involved programming and hacking, but he later shifted his focus towards more politically engaged projects. WikiLeaks, founded in 2006, aimed to provide a secure platform for whistleblowers to share confidential information about governments and corporations.
