Ken Lum
Ken Lum is a prominent Canadian artist and educator known for his diverse visual art and conceptual works. Throughout his career, Lum has consistently confronted themes of identity, representation, and the human condition. Some of his most recognized projects include his photo-text combinations and the "Shops" series, which critically engage with issues of class and cultural translation. Lum's influential works have been showcased in prestigious venues such as the Venice Biennale, Documenta, the Shanghai Biennale, and the Whitney Biennial. Beyond his practice as an artist, Lum has contributed to the academic sphere, serving as a professor and, notably, Chair of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Design.
