Laura Owens
Laura Owens is an American contemporary artist known for her eclectic and experimental approach to painting. Born in 1970 in Euclid, Ohio, Owens, who is now based in Los Angeles, has gained recognition for her innovative use of materials, techniques and styles, often blending elements of abstraction, figuration and decorative art. Her work incorporates a wide range of influences, from traditional art historical references to digital culture and everyday objects, creating visually rich and conceptually layered compositions. Owens's paintings are noted for their playful, bold, and sometimes whimsical nature, pushing the boundaries of what painting can be.
