Liza Lou
Liza Lou is an American contemporary artist best known for her use of beads in creating intricate, large-scale sculptures and installations. Her most famous work, "Kitchen," a life-size replica of a kitchen, covered entirely in beads, brought her critical acclaim. Lou's work, which often explores themes of labor and women's roles in society, has been exhibited worldwide, including at the Whitney Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2002, recognizing her innovative artistic approach.
