Mario Batali
Mario Batali, born in 1960, is an American chef, writer and former restaurateur known for his contributions to Italian cuisine in the United States. Batali co-owned restaurants in New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, Singapore and New Haven, including the New York spot Babbo which retained a Michelin star for several years. He gained fame through his television appearances and has been recognized with several awards for his culinary expertise. Restaurant review site Eater revealed multiple sexual misconduct allegations in 2017 against Batali. In March of 2019, he sold all his restaurant holdings.
