Max Hollein, born in 1969 in Vienna, Austria, is a prominent museum director and cultural leader. He serves as the CEO and Director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, one of the world's largest and most prestigious art institutions. Hollein has led significant initiatives to enhance the MET's engagement with contemporary art and technology, expanding its collection and exhibitions to reflect a broader, more inclusive perspective of art history. Before joining the MET, he held directorial positions at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and the Städel Museum in Frankfurt, Germany.
